About this program
Ontario's newest energy efficiency program offers stackable rebates of up to $10,000 for solar and battery installations ($5,000 for solar PV and $5,000 for battery storage). Launched January 28, 2025, and funded through late 2026. Solar panels must be sized for load displacement only; net metering is not permitted under this program.
Eligibility requirements
- Ontario homeowner or residential property owner
- Must use a registered and approved contractor
- Solar panels must be sized for on-site load displacement only
- Net metering not permitted under this program
- Applications processed on first-come, first-served basis
- Cannot combine HRS rebate with a standard Net Metering agreement
